Three shader node groups for creating fast volumetric effects (fog glow, light rays) in cycles.

These nodes replace the use of normal volumetric shaders and mimic the volume effect. So, with no volume scattering, the result is much less noisy scene and much faster renders.



The nodes include

  • Projector Rays ;

to create projector rays, and other kinds of rays that spread out from a point using an image or video texture.


  • Light Rays

to create parallel rays like sun rays through a window or wall cracks using an image or video texture.


  • Point Light Glow

to create a point lights in the fog
